Running The BookThe EPAS Book allows certain EPAS reports to be compiled into a single report for a specified centre To run the EPAS Book click on The Book icon on the Available Data screen
| The
Book is similar in many respects to the Report Wizard.
However one of the main differences is that the report year is selected on the Welcome screen |
| Although Centres are stored in the Report Definition they are ignored by The Book so that new selections may be made |
| The
Reports comprising the Book are selected from the list of Report
Definitions.
Tick the box to the left of the Report to select it To change the order in which the reports are presented in the Book use the Print Order arrow keys.

| Important
Note
Please note that due to a restriction in Microsoft Access the Book is limited to previewing roughly 40 Reports. Any remaining reports will be generated but not previewed. As a rule of thumb if the Number of Centres selected multiplied by the umber of Reports selected exceeds 40 then Microsoft Access will start displaying error message. The Book, like a Report, can be saved as a Definition by entering a Book Title and ticking the Save as a Book Definition box. Finally by clicking Finish EPAS will build a separate Book for each Centre selected. |
| The EPAS Reports database will display the reports as they are produced |
Creating a Report DefinitionThe EPAS Book requires that at least one Centre based Report Definition to exist before it can be run. If a Centre based Report Definition does not exist then the following error message will be displayed
| To create a Centre based
Report Definition click on a report in the Available Data screen and
select the required criteria until the Report Options screen is
displayed.
At this point enter a name for the Report in the Report Title field and tick the Save as a Report Definition. Note that although Centres have to be selected they are disregarded by the Book |
| Click Finish to save the report as a Report Definition |
Click No - the Report
Definition has now been saved and can be used from with The Book
Maintaining Report DefinitionsTo maintain Report Definitions click on General Maintenance / Report Definitions on the Available Data screen |
| The Report Definitions Screen displays all definitions for a given report - these can be viewed, renamed or deleted as required |
