NCER / EPAS V2.8.5 H Update

Please ensure that EPAS has been upgraded to V2.8.5 before applying this update

Failure to do so will result in corruption of existing data

What is covered by Update V2.8.5 H?

This release fixes the following problems

1. 2008 Subjects
The Subject Export fails due to missing Subject Groups

2. Missed Value Added Tables
2008 VA00 Matrix Source table missing from Datafile

3. A2/G2, A3/G3 & AS2/GS2 Fail with missing grades
Reports run prior to 2008 fail with missing new grades

4. AST02
Incorrect National Numbers on Roll

5. A2 & A3 Fail with Divide By Zero
Under certain conditions A2 & A3 Fail with Divide By Zero

6. International Baccalaureate
Certain Grades were missing - nnB, nnD & X

7. 2 A*-C Science
BTEC First Diploma not included if BTEC First Certificate also taken

Requirements

This update must only be applied if EPAS has been successfully upgraded to version 2.8.5.

The following versions of Microsoft Access are covered: 97,  2000,  2002 / XP and 2003
- Please note that EPAS can be used with Microsoft Access 2007 but problems may be encountered especially when converting databases.

The following versions of Microsoft Windows are covered: 95, 98, 2000, ME, NT4 and XP

Installation

This update only needs to be run once per EPAS Database.

1. If the database is standalone then run the update once on the standalone PC.

2. If the database is shared then run the update once on one of the client PCs
    - All other Client PCs will be updated automatically at log in.

Download the following file

EPAS V2.8.5 H Update

If your IT Department does not allow .exe file downloads then download the following file

EPAS V2.8.5 H Update (non-exe)

and rename update_2_8_5_h.xex as update_2_8_5_h.exe

1) Save the file to a temporary folder
2) Close EPAS
3) In Windows Explorer navigate to the temporary folder
4) Double click on update_2_8_5_h.exe
5) When the update is finished start EPAS
6) On the login screen Version 2.8.5 will be displayed in the bottom right hand corner
7) After login EPAS will automatically apply Update 20080024
8) The update will take approximately 10 mins
9) There is no need to recalculate any values
